Looking Beyond the Beelink SER3 Ryzen 5 Mini PC? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How each alternative compares

Beelink Ryzen 5 Mini PC

This Beelink SER3 variant keeps the same Ryzen 5 3500U processor and 16GB of RAM, making it a direct sibling to the original. The main difference lies in its physical dimensions. It measures 6.6 inches in length, which is significantly longer than the original’s 4.9-inch footprint. The width is also slightly wider at 4.7 inches. You get the same dual 4K HDMI output and office-focused performance. However, the larger chassis might not fit in tighter desk spaces. If you prefer the standard SER3 layout but want a slightly different color option, this model works well. It sacrifices compactness for a familiar internal configuration that handles multitasking and media playback just as smoothly as the base model.

Beelink SER Ryzen 5 Mini PC

The Beelink SER model offers nearly identical internals to the original, featuring the Ryzen 5 3500U and 16GB of RAM. The key distinction is its weight and precise dimensions. This unit weighs only 12.3 ounces, making it lighter than the original’s 1.6 pounds. Its dimensions are 4.88 by 4.44 by 1.65 inches, which is marginally smaller in length and height. You retain the dual 4K display support and reliable office performance. The slight reduction in size and weight makes it a bit easier to mount or hide behind a monitor. If you want the same processing power in the most minimal package available from this line, this is the practical choice. It gives up nothing in performance while optimizing the physical footprint for your desk.

Lenovo ThinkCentre Mini PC Intel i5

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720Q shifts the platform entirely to Intel. It uses an i5-8400T processor instead of the AMD Ryzen 5 3500U. This change means you lose the integrated Vega 8 graphics in favor of Intel UHD graphics. The unit comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed, which is a significant upgrade from the typical Windows Home found on the original. It also includes 16GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD for comparable storage and memory capacity. However, the physical size is much larger, measuring 15 by 4 by 19 inches. You gain enterprise-grade reliability and professional software, but you sacrifice the compact mini PC form factor. Choose this if you need Windows 11 Pro and do not mind a larger desktop footprint.

Dell OptiPlex Micro Core i5 Desktop

The Dell OptiPlex 3070 Micro also moves to an Intel Core i5 processor, offering a different architecture than the AMD Ryzen 5 in the original. It includes 16GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD, matching the original’s memory and storage specs. This model comes with Windows 11 Pro, providing a professional operating system environment. The build focuses on stability and reliability for office tasks rather than raw multimedia performance. The dimensions are 12.1 by 4 by 13.3 inches, which is bulkier than the original’s ultra-compact design. You trade the sleek, small form factor for Dell’s business-class durability and support. If your workflow relies on Intel-based applications or you require Windows 11 Pro for enterprise compatibility, this is a solid alternative that prioritizes corporate features over compact aesthetics.

KAMRUI Pinova Ryzen 7330U Mini PC

The KAMRUI Pinova is a compact alternative that uses the same Ryzen 5 3500U processor as the original. It includes 16GB of RAM, matching the memory capacity. The standout feature is its physical size. It measures only 3.94 by 3.94 by 1.42 inches, making it significantly smaller and lighter than the original. Weighing just 9.52 ounces, it is the most portable option on this list. It also supports dual 4K displays, ensuring you do not lose visual flexibility. However, the storage capacity is not explicitly detailed in the provided data, so you should verify the SSD size before purchasing. If you need the same processing power in the smallest possible chassis for a clean desk setup, this model is the best choice for space savings.

Glorlin Ryzen 5 3501U Mini PC

The Glorlin GT101 features a Ryzen 5 3501U processor, which is a close variant to the original’s 3500U. It includes 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, offering slightly more storage than the original’s 500GB drive. A key advantage is its networking capability. It supports WiFi 6, which provides faster and more stable wireless connections compared to the original’s WiFi 5. This model is designed for triple monitor setups, making it ideal for users who need more than two displays. The specific physical dimensions are not listed in the data, so you should check the listing for size details. If you prioritize modern wireless standards and need to drive three 4K monitors for a productive office environment, this unit offers better connectivity and display flexibility than the original.
