Looking Beyond the GEEKOM IT13 Intel Core i9 Mini PC? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How the alternatives compare to the IT13

Lenovo ThinkCentre Intel i5 32GB Mini PC

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720Q shifts focus from raw power to practical office value. It uses an Intel Core i5 processor instead of the IT13’s high-end i9, which means less peak speed for heavy creative work. However, it still includes 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, matching the IT13’s memory capacity while offering ample storage for daily tasks. You lose the i9’s 5.4GHz boost and the metal chassis durability, but you gain a more budget-friendly option for standard multitasking. This model suits users who prioritize cost efficiency and Windows 11 Pro stability over maximum processing power and advanced connectivity features like WiFi 6E.

Dell OptiPlex Micro Core i5 Desktop

The Dell OptiPlex 3070 Micro offers a different form factor and older generation performance. It features an Intel Core i5-9500 processor, which is significantly less powerful than the IT13’s 13th Gen i9. Like the Lenovo, it provides 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, ensuring smooth operation for office applications. You give up the latest processor speed, 8K display support, and the compact blue chassis. Instead, you get a larger, black desktop unit designed for business productivity. This alternative is ideal if you need reliable, stable performance for daily computing tasks and do not require the high-speed storage or advanced graphics capabilities of the GEEKOM model.

Dell OptiPlex Micro Core i5 Desktop

The Dell OptiPlex 3080 Micro balances memory capacity with a compact, professional design. It uses an Intel Core i5 processor, falling short of the IT13’s i9 performance for intensive multitasking or media creation. However, it matches the IT13 with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, providing sufficient resources for heavy file storage and business applications. You sacrifice the latest generation CPU speed, USB4.0 ports, and tri-band WiFi. The trade-off is a highly compact, black chassis that fits easily on a desk. This choice is best for users who prioritize memory and storage capacity over cutting-edge processor generations and advanced connectivity options.

HP EliteDesk Core i5 32GB Mini PC

The HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini PC provides solid multitasking power with a focus on general productivity. It is equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor, which is less powerful than the IT13’s i9, making it less suitable for heavy creative workloads. It still offers 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, matching the IT13’s memory and offering substantial storage. You lose the high-speed PCIe Gen4 SSD, 8K display support, and the durable metal mid-frame. This model is a practical choice for users who prioritize memory and storage over the absolute latest processor speeds. It fits well in office environments where stable, reliable performance is more important than peak computational power.

ACEMAGIC Core i5 32GB RAM Mini PC

The ACEMAGIC M5 shifts priority to network stability and multi-monitor setups. It uses an Intel Core 5 220H processor, which differs from the IT13’s i9 architecture. While it offers less RAM and storage than the GEEKOM model, it emphasizes WiFi 6 connectivity for stable wireless performance. You give up the 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, and high-end graphics capabilities. This alternative is ideal for users who need reliable network connections and multi-display support without the cost or power consumption of a high-end i9 system. It is a focused choice for environments where network stability and display output are more critical than maximum processing speed or large storage capacity.

GMKtec Ryzen 5 7640HS Mini PC

The GMKtec M6 Ultra offers a different processing architecture with a Ryzen 5 7640HS chip. It matches the IT13 with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, providing comparable memory and storage resources for multitasking. However, it lacks the i9’s raw processing power and the advanced display support features like 8K output. You trade the Intel ecosystem and USB4.0 connectivity for AMD’s Ryzen performance. This model is suitable for users who prioritize fast networking and multi-display setups over maximum storage capacity or the specific advantages of Intel’s latest generation processors. It is a capable alternative for those who want strong RAM and storage in a different hardware configuration.
