How each alternative compares
Beelink Mini S12 Windows 11 Mini PC
The Beelink Mini S12 is noticeably more compact than the MSI Cubi 5, measuring just 4.02 inches wide compared to 4.88 inches. It uses the Intel N95 processor, which trades the Core 3-100U’s higher thread count for a smaller footprint. You get dual 4K display support instead of quadruple displays, and it relies on Wi-Fi 5 rather than Wi-Fi 6E. This model lacks Thunderbolt 4, so you lose high-speed expansion capabilities. It is a better fit if you need a tiny desktop for dual monitors and do not require the latest wireless standards or Thunderbolt connectivity.
Lenovo ThinkCentre Mini PC Intel i5
The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720Q offers double the RAM of the MSI Cubi 5, with 16GB versus 8GB. It runs Windows 11 Pro instead of Home, providing more business features. The Intel Core i5-8400T processor is an older generation chip, so it may feel slower in single-core tasks than the newer Core 3-100U. It is significantly larger and heavier, making it less suitable for VESA mounting in tight spaces. This option is ideal for office workers who need more memory and professional OS features, and who do not mind a bulkier chassis for that added capability.
KAMRUI Pinova Mini PC Ryzen 4300U
The KAMRUI Pinova P2 provides a larger 512GB SSD compared to the MSI’s 500GB drive. It supports triple monitor setups, whereas the Cubi 5 handles four displays. The processor listed in attributes is the Intel N95, which is less powerful than the Core 3-100U, though the title mentions Ryzen 4300U. It lacks Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6E, relying on older connectivity standards. This Mini PC is a practical choice if you need slightly more storage and multi-display support, and can accept lower processing power and older wireless tech.
Glorlin GT101 Ryzen 5 3500U Mini PC
The Glorlin GT101 uses a Ryzen 5 3500U processor, which offers strong multi-core performance for office tasks. It includes Wi-Fi 6, an upgrade over the Cubi 5’s Wi-Fi 6E in terms of standard generation, though 6E is newer. You get Windows 11 Pro and triple 4K display support. However, it has only 256GB of storage, which is half the capacity of the MSI model. It is a solid option for users who prioritize professional OS features and strong multi-screen capabilities over large storage space and the latest Thunderbolt connectivity.
KAMRUI Pinova Ryzen 3 Pro Mini PC
The KAMRUI Pinova P1 is extremely compact, measuring only 3.94 inches wide and 1.18 inches high, making it smaller than the MSI Cubi 5. It runs Windows 11 Pro and supports triple displays. The processor is listed as Intel N150 in attributes, which is an entry-level chip, offering less power than the Core 3-100U. It lacks Thunderbolt 4 and has limited storage options. This Mini PC is best for users who need a very small form factor for business use and do not require high-end performance or advanced expansion ports.
HP ProDesk Mini Core i5 Desktop
The HP ProDesk 600 G3 runs Windows 11 Pro and supports dual 4K displays, similar to some competitors but fewer than the MSI’s four displays. It uses an older Intel Core i5-6500 processor, which is significantly slower than the modern Core 3-100U. It has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, offering less capacity than the Cubi 5. The chassis is larger and heavier, reducing portability. This model is suitable for users who need a reliable business environment with Windows Pro and do not require high processing speeds or modern connectivity features.
